Diverse Pollution Factors

This crisis in the capital is resulting from a combination of multiple factors including heavy vehicle emissions, dust, development work, garbage fires and smoke from crop residue ignition in nearby states of farming communities.

Within these states, agricultural workers illegally burn crop residue to prepare for next season, producing toxic pollution that becomes contained over the city as winter air arrives.
