Netflix Casts Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. This character has the ability to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a version of that figure reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and anime.
Escola joins several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to reality, including chief Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the fictional land.
Though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
