The Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to players forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of treats. Several previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, offering an constant stream of gossip to those who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the identical vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
